Four powerful paths to happiness

Any reason is good to celebrate, because that is the nature of our spirit. The new year is a time when the spirit of celebration invades the whole world. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the past year and take stock of the lessons learned. A celebration has social, emotional and spiritual components. Often we specialise in the primary two and forget the third. The real celebration takes place when the spiritual aspect is also part of it.


Very often people inquire from me how I see the longer term . I answer them that it is up to them to build the future they want. The imprudent regrets the past, thinks that the future is destiny and is unhappy in the present. The sage sees the past as destiny, the future as free will and is happy in the present.


As significant as the events of the past year have been, looking back, you can not perceive them other than as a dream. When reflecting on these events, what stands out is the fleeting nature of everything. Events are like stones and pebbles in the great river of time which continues to flow. In life, you either learn things and forget them: learn them so as not to repeat the same mistakes, and forget them so that they don’t traumatize you.


Here are four ways to be happier in 2020:

Make room for meditation in your life

The demands of modern life lead to stress and restlessness, which can be relieved with a few minutes of meditation. Meditation brings you deep rest. The more deeply you can rest, the more dynamic you will be in action. It is the best way to clear your mind of all the past impressions that overwhelm you.

Often times we are pulled in different directions and we are unable to devote time to ourselves. We don’t take the time to think and think. This can leave us dull and tired. A few moments of calm daily are the source of creativity. Silence heals, regenerates and brings you depth and stability. Sometimes during the day, sit down for a few minutes, enter the cavern of your heart, eyes closed, and leave the world outside.



Make a commitment to form this world a far better place to measure . Do acts of kindness without expecting anything in return. Only service can bring satisfaction in life. It creates a sense of belonging. When you display kindness, your true nature, which is love and peace, comes to the surface.


Be grateful

Our love, trust, and belief must be ingrained, and then everything else can move on its own. The feeling of “I am blessed” can assist you overcome any failure. Once you realize that you simply are blessed, all complaints and complaints disappear, all insecurities disappear and you become thankful, satisfied and calm.


Spend time in nature

If you are not amazed by the magnificence of this creation, your eyes are not yet open. Tell me, what’s not a mystery during this creation? Birth is a mystery; death is a mystery. If birth and death are mysteries, then life is surely a greater mystery. To be completely immersed in the mystery of life and of this creation is samadhi. Just as we live in the external world of events and circumstances, we also live in the internal world of emotions and feelings, but we are not always aware of it.

The distance between the outside world and the inside world is in the blink of an eye. Yoga is the skill of maintaining attention to the inner world while acting in the outer world. When you are lost in the outside world, there is discord in the inside world and life is like a war. When you are established within the inner world, there’s clarity within the outer world and life becomes a game.
